Various factors contribute to the development of facial lines. It's not solely attributed to cellular changes, collagen reduction, or damage inflicted by free radicals from environmental exposure.

The repetitive contractions of facial muscles due to actions like frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows lead to the creasing and folding of the skin, eventually leading to the formation of facial lines. Botox® Cosmetic operates beneath the skin's surface, offering temporary relief by diminishing the underlying muscle activity responsible for moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines in adults, thereby enhancing their appearance.

Common Treatment Areas

  • Moderate to Severe Frown Lines - during moments of frowning or concentration, the muscles located between your brows contract, resulting in the furrowing and folding of your skin. Your specialist will administer injections to these muscles to temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines.

  • Moderate to Severe Crow's Feet - when you squint or smile, the muscles surrounding your eyes contract, leading to the formation of crow’s feet. Your specialist will administer injections to these muscles to temporarily enhance the appearance of crow’s feet.

  • Moderate to Severe Forehead Lines - when you lift your eyebrows, the muscles on your forehead contract, resulting in the furrowing and folding of the skin. Your specialist will administer injections to these muscles to temporarily improve the appearance of forehead lines.

What to Expect

Certain patients undergoing Botox® Cosmetic injections describe the sensation as akin to a pinch. Typically, you might observe a noticeable reduction in frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines within 24 to 48 hours, with optimal results manifesting within 30 days, lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.  However, it's essential to recognize that Botox® Cosmetic doesn't provide permanent results. Should you choose to discontinue treatment, the reappearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines will occur gradually. For more information, please contact Kim.
